Gross  domestic  product  (GDP)  slowed  down  to  5.6 percent  in  the  first  quarter  of  2019  from  6.5  percent in  the  same  period  in  2018  (Figure  1).  This  is  the slowest growth rate recorded in 16 quarters since the 5.1 percent expansion during the first quarter of 2015. According  to  the  Development  Budget  Coordination Committee, GDP needs to expand by an average of at least 6.1 percent over the next three quarters to meet the 6 percent to 7 percent growth target for 2019. >>read complete document
