From 2008 to 2012, the level of premium collections of Philhealth has exceeded that of the benefit payments for health services. However, during the same period, the growth of benefit payments has outpaced that of premium collections and by 2012, benefit payments and premium collections have almost evened out. In the first half of 2013, the situation has reversed, benefit payments amounting to P26.19 billion have exceeded premium collections which totaled P25.23 billion.>>read complete document
