The Philippines adopts the Organization for Economic Cooperation  and  Development  (OECD)  definition  of information   and   communications   technology (ICT) which   refers   to   a   combination   of   manufacturing and  service  industries  that  electronically  captures, transmits,  and  displays  data  and information. ICT  is commonly  used  as  a  collective  term  to  describe  the new  generation  of  information  technology  spawned by  the  Internet.  ICT  broadly  includes the following:  telecommunications industry, Internet Service Providers (ISPs),  e-commerce  models,  hardware  and  software application  for  communications technology,  business process  outsourcing—e.g.  contact  center  operations, and multi-media applications.>>read complete document
