The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will hold its Concluding Senior Officials Meeting and Ministers and Leaders’ Summit on November 17 to 19, 2015. The Philippines is an active member of this multilateral organization composed of 21 Asia-Pacific Economies. APEC Senior Officials will be tasked to process the year’s worth of work, prioritizing deliverables to be endorsed to their Leaders for adoption. On the other hand, APEC Leaders will issue their policy guidance for the APEC year and long-term vision. APEC 2015 had a total of 229 meetings, including the APEC Finance Ministers’ Process, sectoral ministerial meetings and high-level policy dialogues, and the APEC Business Advisory Council (private sector arm of the APEC) meetings. This paper presents basic economic statistics on APEC Economies and a summary of the publications and press releases of APEC on past and most recent policies, initiatives and programs of selected economic priority working groups, namely: SMEs, Services, Transportation, Financial Sector, Tourism, Intellectual Property Rights, Energy, and Telecommunications and Information Technology. >>read complete document
