This paper looks into the movement/pattern of income and expenditures, particularly of the poor households, based on the results of the Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) and Annual Poverty Incidence Survey (APIS) results in the last two survey years (2012 and 2015). It also determines if such movements have been consistent with economic growth trends. Finally, it looks at changes or improvements, if any, in household welfare as reflected in the expenditure patterns, especially of low-income groups.>>read complete document
